The world
The Forgotten Land is a vast, lawless wilderness of cursed forests, swamps, mountains and ruins, overrun by greenskins, beasts, undead, fey and bandit clans. Three ambitious cities lie 140 miles from its heart, and each of them wants the land for itself.
- Davorn: on the western coast, with its fleets and its spies.
- Zahktar: in the eastern desert, with spices, gems and mercenaries.
- Brumière: in the green valleys to the south.
How it starts
Lord Philippe de La Brumière is looking for adventurers to tame the Forgotten Land. Those who succeed will earn a noble title and the right to claim it. First you have to pass his trials. Then you set out with the other founders, and together you must decide what kind of government your domain will have. Not everyone will agree, and some of your companions are already scheming.
How you play
You rise from adventurer to ruler. Your camp becomes an outpost, the outpost a village, and the village perhaps a kingdom. Food, morale, order, the loyalty of the factions: everything depends on how you govern, and every choice has consequences. Govern well and you grow. Govern badly and you get famine, plague and revolt.
